One of our IDPA shooters is looking for some good loads. All the 38 super folks I know shoot IPSC. Anybody got some good ones that aren't too far above the 125 IDPA power floor?

Please include powder type/amount, bullet type and weight, and overall length.

Thanks much

I have a bunch in my notebook at work. I will send them from there tomorrow.

Try a 115 Zero #126 bullet with either 6.5 grains of N350 0r 7.1 grains of AA#5 at 1.245 oal. Should put you around 1100 fps out of a 5" barrell.

Oh yeah;the AA#5 is a real good load, seems to produce small groups and really clean, but I can't get it to go thru a Dillon well. The granules are too small. Never did try that nylon Arredondo charge bar though.

The super works and cycles best at about 1050fps out of a 1911. I use 4.7gr of 231 behind a 124-135 Zero bullet and get about 1050fps. My buddy uses the same bullets with 4.9-5.0gr of bullseye to produce the same results. If you run it too close to 125pf the slide seems to slow down and rock too much the 1050 loads are soft but snap the slide and it seems to keep you on target better.
