A friend of mine was thinking about getting the slim wood grips for his Para P-14. I remember seeing some decal type grips somewhere that replaced the factory grips. I would appreciate any info on where we might find more info on these.

I have had several pair of wood slim grips on my 1911's. They don't work out real well or they didn't for me. The tiny shoulder the screw head rests on ends up getting cut and torn by the screw head and pretty soon there is no shoulder. Micarta grips work great. I have 2 pair of these on my pistols and not a problem in several thousand rounds.

Check out Alumagrips, as they have recently introduced their slim grip offerings. They're very competitively priced with Micarta and laminated wood slim panels.
