I have a rear adjustable sight that I've noticed is a little loose after about 500rds through a new Kimber Classic Stainless Target. Anyone else have this problem? If so, any suggestions on how to keep it on there?

Loose how? If it's loose in the dovetail, remove it and put a drop of blue loctite in the dovetail. Reinstall.

Thanks, I'll try that.

Underneath the sight leaf is a set screw that is supposed to help keep the sight in place. Remove the elevation screw, lift up the leaf, and tighten that screw first before you try anything else.

If it is not obivous why it is loose or you can simply tighten an allan screw to solve the problem then I would send it back to Kimber and let them fix it under warranty. I had a new gold match and the rear sight fell off after 250 rounds. They replaced it within 7 days with a new one. There have been many posts to this forum about rear sight prblems with Kimbers. In fact they seem to be on their 3rd generation of sights.

Thanks...I will try those suggestions & send it in if I must.

It's a little disappointing considering how well it shoots & what it costs.

Do most other rear adjustable sights behave the same way? If not, perhaps I just need to replace it with a "real sight." I replaced the magazine with a Wilson Combat...it shoots & very rarely has a FTF.

If you check over the entire gun and the sight is the only problem just send in the slide and you won't have to pay the additional charge for next day air shipping, you will save a bunch. Be sure to check out the entire gun, my plunger tube and ejector were loose.
