Hello all.

My SA milspec's barrel (900 rounds) shows that the top locking lug has been flattened a bit on the top surface. This has caused a very thin "edge" of metal to overhang a bit over the edges... do you follow, it's hard to explain. You can feel this edge by feeling the lug. I am pretty sure it still locks up into battery. Is this common?

Thanks and regards. -Coop

The roof of the slide will rub the barrel, but it shouldn't clash with it in any way. With an empty chamber, put your hand over the muzzle and push back 'til it stops (about a half-inch). Look at the front of the ejection port to see if the slide is clear of the top of the barrel. There should be .010-.015 clearance.
