Well, I think I finally got my dad to decide on a pistol for himself.

We have went shopping before without success, but today might have been different. Part of it was the fact that the guy at the gunshop reminded him that the little Mustang .380 would not do as good of a job as a .45 on an attacking dog in as many shots.

I have an XS GM, and we found a LWT Officers XS today for $699 NIB. Hopefully he will go back tomorrow and buy it, he didn't get it today cause he forgot his checkbook, LOL.

I want to ask them to fieldstrip it, but I don't know how to fieldstrip an officers, can you folks fill me in?

$699 is a good price right? I spent $775 for my XS GM.

What should I look for to make sure it is a good buy? The gun has been there for about 3 months now, I am really surprised that no one has snapped it up yet.

$699.00 is a good price. You rarely see XS model Colts for under $700.00. Usually closer to $ 750.00 or above.

The one I just got was $750.00, but I traded for it.

Bought it today!!!

Now..to find a holster for him, and order some Wilson mags.

Thanks to the NY State shady waiting period (Have to have the pistol added to the permits before we can take it home) of between 3 and 10 days, we can't pick it up until next week.
