Hi,

How do the Trijicon Accupoint (3x-9x), ACOG (4x only) and Aimpoint scopes compare? I'm not sure if I want the Aimpoint (no magnification? What's so good about it?) on the forward mount, or a variable or fixed ACOG on the back. Why's the ACOG so much more expensive than the accupoint?

Main use will be 3-gun matches. Thanks.

I have an Aimpoint on mine. It`s good out to about 300 yards. Too bad my eyes are only good for 100! The Scout is set up that way for both eyes open shooting. That way you can pick your next target. There`s no rule that says you can`t set it up differently but it`s the age of specialization.

Most Scout scopes are 2x20. Higher magnification doesn`t seem to work out with the eye relief. If I want a more powerful scope setup, I`ll buy another M1A. I know where there`s a nice pre ban for $1000.
So many guns, so little money.
