Armalite trigger, or Knights. Jewel not recomended. Rock river probably ok also.Originally posted by col132:
I'd go with the M1A partly because of the availability of accessories compared to sole source Armalite.
Mike, while this is not a part of your list, it is in the same category: FN FALOriginally posted by msmith:
I'm torn. I would like to have one or the other. It would be used for plinking and for an occasional Deer hunt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
OK, one more time, they are both .308's. An AR-10 is a .308 rifle. An AR-15 is a .223.Originally posted by Gary W Trott:
Dear msmith,
Given what you want to do with the rifle I'd suggest the MIA. The AR10's .223 is a marginal cartridge for any large game and is not even allowed for deer hunting in most states. While a twenty two can never be loaded to do a thirty's job the opposite has not always been true. There used to be (and there very well might still be) saboted .223 rounds (made by Remington I believe) available for the .308 for use on woodchucks etc... Stay safe, Gary
Dear Bill, I'm sorry for breezing right over your post above as I scrolled down. GaryOriginally posted by BillD:

Well not really, the AR-10 is a 7.62 NATO and AR-15 is a 5.56 NATO.
