I have a magazine that quit locking the slide back after the last round. The other magazine works just fine.
My question is what part of a magazine stops the slide from coming back after the last round? What can I do to fix the magazine? They are Wilson mags and very expensive.

The magazine follower is what engages the slide stop and thus holds the slide in the rearward position after the last round.

It is likely that the spring is a little weak, and therefore isn't holding the follower tightly enough to the slide stop.

But your solution is simple -- send the offending mag back to Wilson. They will replace it with a brand new one. You'll only be out the cost of shipping, which is likely less than a new mag spring anyway.
