Am I shortening the life of my magazines by storing them fully loaded? Seems logical that spring compression over time could make the springs weaker, but one wants to be ready for the Mongol hordes descending on one's castle by keeping everything fully loaded. What say 'ye?

Leaving them loaded doesn't hurt anything. Loading and unloading is what wears your springs.

Even if it did hurt them my philosophy is that I would rather buy new mag springs and leave the mags ready to use if I need them as opposed to worrying about wearing out my mags and leaving them unloaded and then be up the creek without a paddle when the SHTF.
