I have a P14-45 that I bought used. It has a very large magwell on it that I'm assuming is an S&A. I would like to replace this with one that doesn't flare out as wide. The problem is that the frame was cut (poorly, at that) to install the current one. Does anyone make a magwell that requires the same amount of material removal as the S&A, that would be a drop in replacement, that is not as wide???

Barring a replacement, is there any way to have the frame lengthened??

TIA,

Mike

I think that you are stuck with it. You can file, grind, or belt/disc sand down the magwell to reduce the size. The easiest thing to do is to sell it to some one who likes it and buy what you want.

Hi MikeW.
Sounds like your need to have a custom made weld on magwell fit to the frame to hide the previous mistakes. A good gunsmith can make it happen, but you will have to spend some money.

That's about what I figured. I'll have to have a chat with my local smith when I pick up my Randall from him.

Thanks,

Mike
