Putting a little Clorox in the gene pool.
Right! Pull the pin! Throw the pin!Granddad apparently had some secrets...
And Dad apparently never watched Combat when he was a kid, or any old war movies... even my daughters knew in kindergarten, you pull the pin and then throw the damn thing.
And now his boys will live with the PTS for the rest of their lives. That, and knowing that their old man was a dumbass.
Yet there he is… with rank too. Way too much of this these days. People like that need to be exposed for exactly who and what they are. This a**clown should never have been a cop anyway. Good thing it was a dummy grenade or that dummy would have been KIA
well you can’t really watch a grenade go off due to the shrapnel from the explosion. If you can watch it then you are too far away to really see it good when it goes off. Myth busters don’t count as they are like 500 yards away and standing behind bullet proof glass.Hollywood tells people that a hand grenade won't explode until it's in close proximity to the bad guys. It also tells people that a grenade will cause a massive orange fireball explosion. Most ordinary people have no idea how they actually work and what it looks like when one goes off.
The Peter Principle comes to mind. This is the theory that people are promoted to a level of incompetence and then they stop being promoted. But sometimes it happens to entire organizations where everyone is promoted to their level of incompetence.Someone dropped a dummy grenade in the street and of course there was widespread panic pandemonium and chaos. I had one end of the street blocked and a buddy had the other end blocked while we were waiting on the bomb squad. A Lieutenant not from patrol division lived around the corner, came walking out to see what was going on and I swear, that idiot did not see it walking up to ask me what was going on an he kicked it like it was a pine cone in the street. This a**clown should never have been a cop anyway. Good thing it was a dummy grenade or that dummy would have been KIA
