There's a mark II I'm looking at (can't see the rib on the slide and it has novak sights but it's a mark ii 1987 with drain hole) which has some roll marks I don't think I've seen:

yet the other side has the standard browning utah roll mark

any idea?

I have an early slide with no "Assembled in Portugal" markings, just Browning Arms Co., FN etc. but it's from the '70s. So that's an interesting slide. Maybe someone beadblasted the A in P off? Beats me.
