hey guys i was just wondering about your thoughts on mec gar vs wilson combat mags in 45 acp for my tactical elite.
the wilson are 10 round but have an over insertion stop but the mec gar have one whole round extra!
just wondering for reliability if the mec gar are as good as the wilson or not?


ps I already have four wilson 8rnd mags for it so im just looking at hi cap.

There are folks that use them, but nose dive is an issue with single stack mags. It gets worse with every round you add to the tube. Seven is better than 8; 8 is better than 10 or 11.

I use Mec gar, but I take one turn off the bottom of the spring, eliminates the nosedive caused buy too strong a spring.

Been using 10 round Wilson's in a Wilson Protector .45 for years - never a single failure of any kind. I highly recommend them.
