Not necessarily a mag problem. However, a weak mag spring or worn follower (plastic ones) can cause the problem. I have several brands and use Metalforms in my custom guns. My wife uses Wilson 7 rounders in hers as they load a bit easier. Just a penny and a half…

Metalforms work well in my 9mm 1911s.

My local gunsmith recently had to do a spot weld on the tip of the mag release buttons of one of my 9mms to get the slide to lock back, and it worked like a charm.

The best mags for Springfield 9mm guns are the Metalform mags that are made for Springfield ... which is what came with the gun.
