Well, I have the Colt with the RemRand slide.

But since it is a shooter grade, would it really kill it to get it worked by one of the guy at Quantico (I work with a guy that knows a few of them) to build it up to MEUSOC specs? I know that the rear tangs would be reshaped for the beavertail, but is that the only frame mod done?

I was in the USMC for 11 years, ant think that it would be cool to have a gun built by Marines, for Marines...

It would be quite an appealing idea if the actual Marine pistol smiths built a pistol for you.

The MEU(SOC) pistol's beavertail grip safety is by Clark Custom(NSN 1005-01-373-2775). Brownell's P/N 181-115-180, I don't think any frame modification is needed.

* The original MEU/SOC pistols used King's, not Clark safeties. I don't know what the newest ones will be using.

* The Clark safety DOES require fitting to the frame. It uses the same frame contour as Wilson safeties.

The Clark Custom safety was current as of 8/94 per TM 00526A-24&P/2 page 7-15 item #2 however, this item may have changed.
