Keeping my fingers crossed for Rogers-Brown. A whole lot of good people really like her, and a whole lot of people who already hate Bush don't, so he--and the country--has more to gain than to lose.

As it turns out, she may have made a good choice (to withdraw). IMHO this does not reflect well on the Bush administration. After discovering how easy it is to disrupt this candidate, all Bush detractors (Republican and Democrat) will find it easier to oppose all future ones. Lame duckness looms.

If bush appoints the type of person he said he would then the senate republicans will be behind him. The dem’s will not support any of his nominees so no since trying to get their support. They could threaten a filibuster but they will not do it.
