If you do not reload and shoot much at all it is a lot cheaper to buy ammo a case at a time and when you find a real good deal maybe 2 at a time. It eventually adds upOriginally posted by airborne420:
Ok, I only have 2 loaded clips for each handgun, a fully loaded 12, and a drum of .308 What in the world do you need to keep 1000's of rounds on hand for? Worried that the locals are going to revolt or something? Sure I buy lots of ammo to go shoot but I shoot it all at the range. Maybe it's cause I don't reload yet.
Hey Maclean3. check out natchezss.com right there in your home state. They sell most ammo cheaper than any gun show, Winshester 230gr for 10.forty something They are in Chatttanooga so shipping would be nominalOriginally posted by Maclean3:
Looks like I'm in the definite minority here. I keep one box of Hydra Shocks each in .38spl. and .45acp.
There's assorted 12 ga. loads in the ammo box, maybe 3 boxes total. Possibly 200 rounds of .22 lr.
If I go to a gunshow I'll pick up maybe 200 rounds of ball for the .45 (enough for one range trip) and that's splurging. Nothing against you stockpilers, wish I could afford to buy it by the case myself!
