For those who are interested in "tool" or military watches, I just purchased a new 2002-model Marathon SAR (Search and Rescue) Dive Watch.

Marathon is a military contractor that provides swiss-made watches to the USGov. This watch is an issue watch to the Canadian Coast Guard. 300m rated; ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, Luminova (hands/marker glow BRIGHT), date, sapphire crystal with cyclops. Comes with nylon strap. I opted for the optional, very nice-quality, stainless bracelet.

There are two authorized sources for the Marathon SAR : County Comm and The Military Watch Resource (MWR) , which is a great place to learn about military timepieces.
