re Springfield Defender
I bought one in a gun show parking lot several years ago...Unfortunately, my step father talked me out of it. It was
a nice pistol that came with 2 8-round mags, and after tweaking the extractor ran well. Accuracy was on par for a Springfield, and
the gun rarely stopped with any ammo I fed it, including some
cast bullet reloads and some brass that had been reloaded so
many times that it was beginning to look like rimmed. I'd rate it
as a good value, and wouldn't hesitate to buy mine back.
The only thing that I didn't care for was the squarish front sight. It snagged as it cleared leather, but a little light filing corrected it.
Overall a nice, no-frills pistol.
