Thanks

Kevin,

I routinely use 310 with my 230gr FMJ and have some loaded with 200gr flat points. They both shoot great. I'm presently loading 4.0gr of 310 with my 230gr montana gold FMJ as well as with the 200gr FP.

i too use N-310 it's an excellent powder, for 200 gr lswc in a 45. I use 4.5 grs with a 1.250 Col, and a .469 taper crimp, its the cleanest most accurate load i've found, it's also the load that wilson uses for accuracy testing their guns.

200 L-swc Oregon Trail bullets and 4.6 of VV N-310 was the most accurate load I tested when test firing the guns in my latest book.

It may not make Major out of your gun, but it is a tack-driver. Chrono and adjust if you need Major ammo.

I like N-310. Use it in both .45 and .40, with good results. All loads are with mixed brass and WLP out of my Kimber CST.

200 gr Ranier HP OAL = 1.205"
4.4 gr N310 = 803 fps
4.6 gr N310 = 833 fps

230 gr West Coast RN OAL = 1.245",
4.3 gr N310 = 777 fps
4.5 gr N310 = 799 fps
4.7 gr N310 = 813 fps

Kevin, how much did you pay for the powder and where did you get it?

$60 for 4 lbs is a good price. Try to remember, I would like to call him to see if he has any more for that price.

John, Don't quote me, but it could have been Dawson Precision, you might give them a call and see.
