I read on another thread that N serial# meant finished in Brazil and NM serial # meant finished in USA... any truth to that?

So...where would the "WW" serial be made/assemble/built/created/whatever?

I had a Champion carry-comp a few years ago from SA custom shop. It had NM prefix. SA told me that prefix was for frames and slides which had the rails cut @ the custom shop rather than by Imbel.

Is there any supposed difference in quality control? My parkerized loaded is an N prefix and is well puttogether. Curiously, I also bought Taurus M605 .357 snubbie for a buddy and was impressed with the workmanship, high polish blue, fit, and function for under $300. It wasn't a Colt Python, but it was plenty nice enough for the price. The Brazilians seem to be making a good go with firearms.

No difference in quality control. SA prefers to have the custom shop cut the rails as part of the things they do to create a match grade pistol.
