Anyone know where I can get replacement recoil springs for the Colt Defender?

I bought a used one at the gun show a few weeks ago and when I went to the range I got FTF on EVERY single shot. Checked the mags, ammo etc......but just noticed that the recoil spring appears to have been cut. It's all jagged and ends at a weird spot in the twist (unlike the other end).

Anyways. I like the Fire Dragon system but they don't make a Defender model only the officers and Govt length, so it looks like I'm stuck with the cheesy guide rod setup they come with. I think the previous owner may have been firing 185 grainers and cut the spring to feed those. But now it will not feed full 230's at all.

P.S.---Talk about Muzzle Flip...geeez

Any help is so greatly appreciated, you guys are the best.

I guess if we do that.....maybe we all earn the right to go home.

I didn't see anything on their website about the Defnder model. They only show Commander and Gvt length.....but maybe I just missed it.

Brownells lists the original Colt springs, though I don't know if they have them in stock. Wolff doesn't make them right now as far as I know. (I emailed them a while back)
