Can some one tell me when my Commander was made.It is a 45acp with the serial #11938-LW.
It is a pre-70`s series by the looks of it.Thanks in advance.

Hi PM....
I have several sources with serial numbers and dates that I frequently refer to. If you're going to collect Colt's gather and learn as much information as possible. It can save you from making a costly mistake. This site and others mentioned in some of the other posts, are great teaching and learning tools.
