I recently read an article that mentioned a pair of wood-laminate 1911 grips. The description sounded great, but no maker was mentioned. The grips apparently have wood colors that include blue, blond (white), and maybe grey or something else in them.

The only blue I've seen in grips were for a Kimber Team Match, or whatever it's called, and they look nice but I don't want a Kimber or Team USA logo on my grips. Anybody know where I might find a selection of wood laminate grips? Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Try Ahrends and Ajaxgrips.com . The Ahrends have a larger diamond pattern that I'm not particularly happy with, but the ajax have smaller double diamonds that look more like the original 1911 grips and offer medallions on their website.

Both brands (despite Ahrends reputation) have unfortunate areas of flattened pyramids.
