I sent my Gold Combat Stainless in for some cosmetic gripes. The good folks at the custom shop took super-good care of me. They replaced the slide stop, among other parts. The new one is a bit different looking than any other I've seen. The back side of the flat part has a relief machined all the way around the perimeter. The checkered "thumb paddle" part has a protruding shelf that really catches on the thumb for easy disengagement of the slide stop apparatus. The part directly under that is concave (dished-out) rather than convex. It is pretty spiffy looking and has really peaked my interest. Anyone else ever seen one like this? Brand? Thoughts?

New Kimbers are now coming out with that slide stop. I saw a few at a gun shop recently.

it seems to be well made. certainly better than the one they had originally slapped on there. I'll see if I can get a pic posted for those that are curious.
