Hey everyone,

I was given a well used but well kept Springfield 1911-A1 mil-spec (parkerized) by my father in law. It's my first 1911. Took it down to the frame last night and gave it a through cleaning and lube. I hope to get some good info here from those who have been around 1911s for much longer than I.

What part of VT? I've had a lot of job sites up there over the years. St. Albans, Lowell, Stowe, Rutland, and Warren to name a few. I would love to live in VT if only I could find a good paying job. Such an awesome state.
