I couldn't resist. I was in the gun store (grown man toy store) and I tripped over a S&W 686 that was lying in the isle, so I bought it. (ok it was in the case, but for this post I will say isle, my story - I'm sticking to it).
I've been wanting a wheel gun for sometime and lo and behold it's now in my gunsafe. I have not shot it yet, but that's coming this weekend. I was torn between the other gun in the isle, the 4" or this 2", but I ended up getting the 2" and for me I think it was the right choice. As I was buying it, it drew a small crowd and everyone was saying how nice a gun it was and their plans to get one like it.

Oh yeah..

Sounds like the one that followed me home. 2 5/8" 686 + (7 shooter). Great gun, little snappy with the magnums, but thats what you bought ..I mean tripped over it for . Good luck and enjoy!

I'm sure you're gonna like it. I had my hands on a 3" 386 Mountain Lite the other evening at the gunshop and it was all I could do to let it go back in the case.

Unfortunately, I went to my local gun shop last week and landed up ordering a 686 with a 4" barrel. They called yesterday to let me know that it is in. I'm picking it up Saturday. Can't wait.

Landed up buying as Ruger 50th Anniversry Blackhawk too! I don't believe it. I guess I will have to work overtime to pay for these . rolleyes:

Sounds good. I chose a 4" myself, but to each his own. You'll love it. pretty soon you'll be buying another; and another... Have fun with your new gun.
