Hi,

I just bought a complete slide assembly to use in place of my custom shop compensated slide, for everyday carry and shooting.

This is a complete slide from somebody else's Series 80 Commander. How much fitting will I have to do? What are the chances that the barrel lugs will work on my frame?

It really depends on the frame... It should be fairly close, if they are both Colt's, and the chances that the barrel lock-up are close will probably be good, although you won't truly know until you have it in hand.
