I am the proud new owner of a new WC CQB Compact. I have yet to take it to the range, but planning on this friday. One of the things I have noticed is that my CQB came with the small guide rod. I would like to replace it with either a two piece with a plug or a one piece.

Can anyone make a suggestion as to the best guide to get?

Leave it the way it is. The Compact was designed to run perfectly with the bull barrel and no guide rod. It needs that recoil to function reliably as they have the shorter system. If you do add a guide rod, however, make it a 1 piece unit from Wilson. Much more simple and reliable. Call Matt or Greg at Wilson to be sure.

Ditto what ColtLover said. Mine has thousands of rounds through it with no failures and supurb accuracy. Can't think of one good reason I'd want to change it

I run Wilson's two piece full guide rod in mine. Makes the take down alot easier.
