Malpso - had one of those once with my 1911 collection. Same as yours, Series 80, 9mm. Put a Videcki trigger in it. It also had the 2 piece guidrod outfit - actually it's not a problem, goes in and out quite easy! Anyway, it shot okay, as is, but my Star Model "B" in 9mm shot circles around it. (Paid only $125 for the Star!) Never thought it was worth it to get an aftermarket barrel and tune it up further. I just came to the conclusion that the 1911 should house the .45ACP (now donning the flame proof suit
and got a Browning Hi-Power MkIII! I eventually sold the 9mm and a Colt Delta Elite 10mm I had, too. Currently, own 3 Colt 1911's in .45ACP and one .22 Conversion Unit. Don't miss the 9mm or the 10mm. Just my 2 cents! Good shooting, NAA.
