I don't know about everybody else, but I never really wanted the adj. sight. The pistol was given to me by my girlfriend. She had been told I wanted the one with the fixed sights, but didn't realize what she was getting.
I just like a fixed sight for everyday concealed carry defensive pistols and for duty use as well.
Kimber adjustable and other adjustable sights are fragile, yes even the Bomars are fragile. I have seen them break. I have also heard that they last for hundred thousands of rounds also. Some people who own only one pistol do change their mind after having the adjustables break. Instead of getting another gun, they've been looking for a fixed sight replacement. Until now that was impossible.
