Hello all,

Here are some pics of my new Kimber Warrior. This is my first 1911, and I'm having issues field stripping this bad boy. I've looked at the guides for stripping a series II Kimber, but I don't think those apply to the Warrior, do they? I can get the slide off and the spring pops out, but I can't get the flippin barrel out for cleaning. So my question is how in the heck do you get the barrel out of the Warrior?

Did you not get an instruction manual? Well anyway, after turning the barrel bushing and removing the recoil spring plug and removing the slide from the frame, turn the barrel bushing in the opposite direction and then pull it from the front of the slide, then flip the barrel link forward and pull the barrel out through the front of the slide (not up and out like in Glocks, SIGs, and so forth)
