I switched out the ILS mainspring housing on my mil- spec for a standard arched mainspring housing. I used the wolff 18# mainspring. WOW! What a difference it made in the trigger pull. It is much lighter. Glad I made this modification. I have not got to shoot it yet but I will report back after a trip to the range.

I did the same thing, but also changed the sear spring to a factory Colt sear spring I found on my parts bin. Shot my Loaded today, and no failures to ignite the primers. The trigger pull was dramatically improved.

Part of the improved pull could be that the new housings don't hold the sear spring as tightly as the ILS housing did. This means reduced spring pressure on the sear and trigger, which will affect trigger pull much more than just lightening the mainspring.
