I’m looking for an all black 9 millimeter 1911 with NO RAIL without forward serrations. It must be a high quality conventional looking gun, no ray guns. I have a Springfield Vickers Master Class 45 and would like a 9 millimeter similar to it under$1,700.00. I seen the new Savage offering but I’m reluctant to buy one for a new manufacturer of 1911. Thanks in advance for the help

Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell.

Take a look at the Tisas Duty series. Forged steel frames, slides, chromed lined barrel, no MIM parts and the four I've purchased have been totally reliable from the first round on as well as very accurate. Tisas is also the OEM frame supplier for Springfield 1911 IIRC.

I need to point out that all my Tisas are 45acp though.
Welcome from the northern end of the west coast liberal crap hole.

Got some very specific requirements you got going there but, we kinda need you to check the rest of the boxes on the request form before we start dropping recommendations on you.

Standard GI – 5”
Commander or Carry @ 4- 4.25”
Ultra carry @ 3”

All Steel or Alloy frame?
Range pounder, Carry gun or combo?
Good econo duty type or more towards semi-custom fit & finish?

For pistols in your initial request, in no particular order.

Colt
Springfield
Rock Island
Tisas
Ruger
Kimber

Not in the 1700 bracket
Dan Wesson
Les Baer
Wilson
Staccato
This is by no means a comprehensive list, just scrapping off the top of my head…
I would suggest ogling Gun Broker to get ideas on your particulars, big search on 1911 and then filter into types and makers that peak your interest.

Look at Rock Island 1911's. You could buy three of them for your budget. I have a .38 Super RIA , it is a great pistol.

Welcome aboard. Be prepared to take notes, because you should get several responses and then you will need to research the recommendations to find one that fits your budget, your goals, and your hand.

You might take a look at Fusion Firearms down in Florida if they don’t have what you want a phone call might get them to build you one your way.
Welcome from NW Tennessee. I just got a Springfield Garrison in 9mm and am completely happy with it. Mine is Blued. at $750.00 or less some places it punches all my wants in a 9mm 1911.

Welcome Jubie, A Colt Gold Cup NM in 9mm might be worthy of consideration.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of suggestions here on this forum. Having a all black handgun speaks near and dear to my 💗 I'm going to add Les Baer "Black Baer" as my vote if you would like to spend a little more. I just wish he has a 45ACP model in all black. Which is different than the Hemi 572 I have. Best wishes on your journey both here and in firearms. It’s kind of the adage Buy once cry once.

Les Bear is probably the best bang for the $$$$. LB accuracy is what others are judged by. IMHO. But I can only address the .45 in that case. My most accurate 9mm 1911 is a Springer Stainless Target that was Wilsonized. God made 1911's in 45acp.

My Garrison 9mm is getting Nighthawked and 38 Supered now. Sort of a SpringHawk LOL

I never had a LB but if I find the right one that could change

Do not have short thoughts on the New Savage 1911s.I bought the govt 2 tone 45.Its Very accurate and a fine pistol.I know some are apprehensive of a new line but, savage really did a great job and i Love mine.Just a thought. Also in the sub forums Just ( other 1911s) is a posting on the savage thoughts and comments.1st on shown target.
