Found this site on another talk forum, they had good things to say about youse guys so I decided to stop by.
Carried my first 1911 in the Marines, (1960's) that gun rattled so bad you'd think it would just fall apart, but it didn't and fired off a round every time the trigger was squeezed.
My first 1911 was a Colt Series 70 bought back in the 90's, plane jane but did OK.
Next came a nice S&W SS, beautiful gun but ended up trading it off for a Colt SAA.
I'm now waiting on my latest 1911 to arrive. Ordered a 2015 Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match, having a few things done to it but should arrive in my hands in about 3 weeks.
I'll post some pic's when it arrives.
Good site, lots of good info. from fellow 1911 fans.

Welcome and looking forward to the pictures. The first .45 I handled was one dropped to the Danish resistance during WW II by British planes. I thing it was a Remington but fare from sure. It rattled like He..
