Picked it up earlier today. Will field strip, clean and juice it (oil). Taking it to the Range in the morning and if all goes well, plan to run 200 rounds of 230gr FMJ thru it. Then I will feed it 10 or so rounds of Federal Punch JHP and see how that goes. Excited with how it feels in the hand and even more excited to shoot it. Slide is tight and smooth. Trigger seems excellent also.
Supposed? Correction ARE! Even though I still have a couple, I wrote off Colt branded guns long ago mainly because Springfields are there for me instead. They don't have the collector attention or "curb appeal" Colt does but that's just fine with me.
Every Springfield I have or have had has operated flawlessly.
I think the Ronin’s are great looking guns myself. Just got home from the range. The new Ronin .45 was flawless thru 200 rounds 230gr and 20 rounds of Federal Punch 230gr JHP. Not a single hiccup. Happy and satisfied with my purchase… good gun!
I bought a .45 Ronin Commander May 1st, and liked it so much I ordered the 9mm Commander a couple of weeks later. Both are nicely done and fun to shoot, though both hit about 2.5" high for me, at 50ft. Nonetheless, both are quite handy and good little pistols. They seem to be much, much tighter than the two Colt LW Commanders I've owned in the past. I'll keep 'em.
