Apologies in advance if this has already been posted. I was thumbing through the January 2004 issue of The Shooting Times and it had a small article (with pictures) of some new Mil-Spec models Springfield is releasing next year. They include:

A stainless GI WWII Mil-Spec;

Standard Mil-Spec with the OD Green Armory Kote finish;

and a bi-tone Mil-Spec with a blued slide and a stainless frame.

They had a picture of the OD green Mil-Spec and the stainless GI WWII Mil-Spec, the stainless WWII looks to be a very nice gun!!!

I just saw that same article. They should have also come out with one in black Armory Kote. OD Green really doesn't appeal to me on a handgun.

Pet peeve: there is only one set of milspecs. :grumble:

Everything else isn't.

OK, I said it.

Carry on. :cool:
