Just bought my first 1911 # 9109L. It has the features I was looking for at a reasonable cost. I read the manual then disassembled oiled and reassembled went to range next day and shot a magazine of S&B 230 FMJ (time was a premium) and enjoyed each round. Friday afternoon I'm goin' back!

IMHO the PX9109L is the best loaded model that SA sells. Got mine about a year ago. The gun ran without a hitch (only a couple of extracting and feeding problems with comercial reloads, no problems with factory ammo) but I wanted to have it my way. The only modifications are removing FLGR for the GI set up (easier to disassemble); removed ILS internals (the ILS works but I wanted a lighter trigger pull); #18.5 recoil spring; grip tape on front strap. Replaced stock cocobologrips with Alumagrips cut to fit Wilsons #188 magwell.
