Hi, new to 1911's but not shooting. I mainly stay on SnipersHide and shoot a fair amount of long range/defensive pistol/AR stuff.

I'm a LEO in North Carolina and have always shot Glocks. While I love Glocks I recently wanted to get my first, solid 1911 gun. I originally planned on getting a SIG Tac Ops but while there to put it on lay away, a new Springfield TRP Operator came in. The TRP felt amazing and it felt very similar to a Dan Wesson I recently shot.

I've been reading a lot lately and I plan on shooting the gun to see how it runs but I'm a huge reliability guy so thinking about sending it back to SACS for their reliability package just for peace of mind.

Here to learn and enjoy my first 1911.

welcome from Durham. Springfield is always a solid choice in my book
