I'm on the last chapter of that book right now. It's been a great book to create a historical overview for me. I still have much to learn about the 1911, but have a much better idea thanks to Patrick Sweeney's book.A cool book to read is, 1911 The First 100 Years by Patrick Sweeney.
I bought it last year read through it and flipped through it several times since
What I like is that it's hardbound with lot's of great supporting pics.
