I've admired them for years and never pulled the trigger on a 1911. But curiosity finally got the best of me and a Ruger SR1911-cmd followed me home last month. I've put about 100 rounds through it and I can honestly say I get it now. It's a pleasure to shoot. It's my first but probably not my last 1911. uploadfromtaptalk1440710760301.jpg

Congrats. You now own the finest type of pistol ever made.

Have heard good things about the Ruger. They usually make a very solid gun. Certainly their revolvers are my first choice.

Enjoy. And they do have a habit of multiplying.

I have a few Ruger revos too. So far, I'm impressed with this SR1911
