New to the board and need help.

Hi, I've been hanging around looking at the board for a couple months now and finally decided to join. I shoot revolvers and 1911A1's. My conceled carry gun is a series 80 gold cup nm.

I hope this is the correct section to ask for some help in. I have a model 1903 in 32ACP (an early one 75,000 sn range) that has quit working properly. It will fire the first shot ok, but will not cock the hammer for the second shot. Working the action manually will cock the gun, unless you hold the trigger back while working the slide. If you hold the trigger it will allow the hammer to follow the slide ahead. Do I have a broken sear or a sear notch on the hammer? Any 1903 experts on the board that will help me out. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the disconnector is at fault. You may want to check with Sam Lisker (www.coltautos.com), who knows a lot about these old Model M pistols.
