Recently traded in my LDA for a single action P12. I'm looking to get rid of the ambi-safety and get a traditional safety (without the extension arm).
would I be able to purchase one from Para?

The frame safety is standard M1911. Any will work (once fitted). The fat part of the double stack frame is forward of this part. Looked in the Brownells catalog? There are dozens of choices.

Black or stainless?

I purchased a brand new Para last week. Switched the single to an ambi but would like a Para one. I will trade you if its black and not stainless.

mine is stainless.

and thanks, Chuck. I'll check out brownells. I was thinking that I could buy a Para-made one and save myself a trip to the 'smith. I'm pretty good at fixing and adjusting other parts on all my guns, but fitting safeties is not something I've had the balls to mess with yet. baby steps.
