The kid did an outstanding job in keeping himself and his brothers from harm.
My guess is because the home invader punks were so young, they panicked and ran when they saw the kid with his rifle. I think if the low lifes were older they would have tried to attack the kid.
Despite the illusion that Las Vegas is a safe and happy town. It isn't and crime is not insignificant. The Metro Cops protect the Strip but not so much the rest of town.
North Las Vegas can be very rough at times. I lived there and gladly left to a better area and eventually a better job.
I am amazed how tourists think Vegas is cool and fail to understand much about the real town, government, and could care less about the impact on local citizens.
