Ok, this is a really rookie question...

What's the difference between an Officers and a Government?

I have 2 Kimbers, a 4" Pro Tactical and a Custom Target II.

Looking in Brownells to get some parts, which parts fit which model?

Thanks, Dave

Kimber's sizing is a bit different than Colt's. The "Custom" is similar to a Government, the "Pro" is roughly the size of a Commander, the "Ultra" is about the size of a Officer's model, and the "Compact" is the same slide and upper parts as a "Pro" but with a shorter grip.

I'm not sure if the MSH and the grip safety on the "Compact" is the same as their full-size frames or if it's smaller...

Which parts are you looking to change?

Both the Custom and Pro size have the same Gov't size grip in Kimbers. Everything on the frame is "Gov't" size for both.

Colt (I believe) calls the officer's frame/commander upper the "CCO"--concealed carry officer's, or combat carry officer's, or something.
