Have an old totally stripped frame that the ramp has been butchered up.

Is there someway to rebuild / buildup the ramp, use a barrel with a ramp, or should the frame just be destroyed the rest of the way.

If rebuild, could I perform the repairs or would be better to find a smith? How difficult is setting up a new barrel with a ramp. Could this be done with tools around the house or is a milling machine required?

George Smith at EGW can weld up and recut the ramp.
Or you can have an integral ramp barrel put in. It is a milling machine job, and a precise one at that.
I think it is a job for a pro, not only to do the work but to look at the rest of the frame and decide if it is worth the trouble and expense. But I am not a DIY type of guy.
