Can anymembers share their opinions and experiences with a 1992 vintage Compact model (4in barrel, officer's frame, stainless). I think the Champion evolved from this arrangement, but I always thought it was great to have this balance of slide and frame dimensions. Any issues of feed reliability, accuracy or durability to share? THe one I am looking at is all steel. Barrel and ramp has the wide chamfer and the piece is tight slide to frame.

If I recall correctly the early Compact was indeed all steel including frame rather than alloy.

However the FTF issues were the feed ramp was on the frame rather than a one piece barrel/feed ramp as the new Lwt Compact is set up with.
