How much would you expect to give for a mid to early 90's model 59 S&W in almost perfect condition from a pretty reliable source?

I have one, good gun. Very reliable. I see them in Gunlist for $395-350.
range. I have seen "worn examples go for $300. Good buy, IMHO.

Wasn't the 59 gone in the early '80s? Replaced by the 659, etc., and then the 3rd Generation models?

You may be right about the year, I am not sure. I went yesterday evening to check it out a little more. The pistol was in exceptional condition. I've seen more wear on guns less than 3 or4 years old. One of the clips had a crack on the follower. Shot 100 rounds of Win. white box with the other clip. No problems. Negotiated to 270.00. Took her home. Thanks for replies. Lrg :rock:
