One piece for self defense carry (if you CHOOSE to have a FLGR in your carry gun). You don't want it coming unscrewed when it counts (even though it is a rare event).
Two piece with comp guns or reverse plug guns (game guns) that don't let the FLGR out of the slide in the normal manner. As a general rule, two piece only when necessary.
