Just bought my 1911. It came with a barrel bushing wrench and a orange plastic tool it has a handle about 1 1/2in long and one side has a half moon shape the other side about 1/2 in long and 1/4 in in diameter. what is this tool for ? thanks
It's not a tool, it is merely a chamber plug similar to a zip lock tie to visually confirm the weapon is not loaded. Throw it away in your garbage. :biglaugh:

If it is inserted in the chamber and then the slide is closed on it, it is intended to verify that the chamber is empty. Some ranges require a visual empty chamber indicator when th eline is COLD.
